SMART FARMING

Precision farming is a group of applications which consider to integrate advanced technologies (measurement with GPS and differential GPS, real-time kinematic, image processing, remote sensing) with agricultural production to reduce costs, enable variable level of inputs, maximize the revenue and protect the environment.
Main goals of precision farming can be summarized as;

  • To reduce the usage of fertilizer and agricultural chemicals
  • To reduce the environmental pollution
  • To obtain high volume and qualified products
  • To reduce the total cost of farming
  • To secure the usage of variable level of inputs
HAVELSAN leads to work on precision farming by calculating NDVI and LAI indexes, making classification and anomaly/change detection and predicting total crop and plant disease.
